Social MD ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website socialmd.co. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information. We keep this plain-language so you actually understand it.

By using our site or submitting a form, you agree to the practices described here.

We collect information in two ways: information you give us directly, and information collected automatically.

Information you provide:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, and practice details when you fill out a contact or inquiry form
  • Your Instagram handle or social media profiles if provided
  • Any files or documents you upload through our onboarding form
  • Messages or notes you include in form submissions

Information collected automatically:

  • Pages visited and time spent on the site (via Google Analytics)
  • Device type, browser, and approximate geographic location
  • Referral source (how you found our site)
  • Interaction data such as clicks and scroll depth (via Meta Pixel)
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see our Cookie Policy)

How We Use It

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiry or consultation request
  • Onboard and communicate with active clients
  • Send marketing emails and practice growth content (only if you've opted in or submitted a form)
  • Improve our website and understand what content is most useful
  • Run and optimize paid advertising campaigns on Meta and Google
  • Meet our legal and contractual obligations

We do not sell your personal information. Ever.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party tools that may process your data:

  • Netlify — website hosting and form submission processing. Form data is stored securely on Netlify's servers.
  • Go High Level (GHL) — our CRM and marketing automation platform. When you submit a form, your contact details may be imported into GHL to manage follow-up and communication.
  • Google Analytics — anonymous website analytics. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Meta Pixel — conversion tracking for Facebook and Instagram advertising. Governed by Meta's Privacy Policy.
  • Namecheap Private Email — email hosting for @socialmd.co addresses.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data. We recommend reviewing them directly.

Cookies

We use cookies to understand how visitors use our site and to run advertising. See our Cookie Policy for a full breakdown of what's set and how to opt out.

Email Marketing

If you submit a form on our site, you may receive follow-up emails from Social MD. These are sent in compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act. Every marketing email includes:

  • A clear identification that it's from Social MD
  • An unsubscribe link that works within 10 business days of use
  • Our physical mailing address

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking "Unsubscribe" in any email, or by emailing us at vaughn@socialmd.co. Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional communication related to an active engagement.

Your Rights

Depending on where you're located, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

California residents (CCPA):

  • The right to know what personal information we collect and how it's used
  • The right to request deletion of your personal information
  • The right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we don't sell data)
  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights

Data Retention

We retain form submissions and contact information for as long as needed to manage the client relationship or as required by law. If you'd like your data deleted, contact us and we'll process your request within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Our website is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, contact us immediately and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
